Needless to say, it feels like our first race is well overdue. After a summer packed full of weight lifting, endurance training, and race training I am ready to start my first season of ski cross racing. Originally, our first stop on the tour was going to be at Telluride, CO in mid December. Unfortunately that race, along with two others scheduled later in the season, were cancelled due to the struggling economic state in the US. As it is now, St. Johann, AUT will be our first stop on the World Cup circuit. To add a little extra excitement to my first ever World Cup race, the event will be held at night! From St. Johann we continue with the series on to France where we make two stops, one in Les Contamines, and the other in Flaine. After Flaine we hop on a plane and head back to North America for another World Cup race and hopefully X Games (still need to qualify).
