The evening of November 10th marked the third fundraiser for Kristi Richard’s Supporting the Dream Legacy Fund. The night was filled with vodka martinis, fine cuisine, gambling, silent auctions, and a live auction. Together we raised over $11 000 which will directly benefit amateur athletes in the Okanagan. Thank you Big White Ski Resort for donating ski passes and accommodation for four at your world-class resort. I’d also like to thanks Bruce Goldsmid from BC Alpine and David Ellis from Canada Ski Cross for providing items for the live and silent auction.
I had a great time at the event and was thrilled when Jim Herperger, a long time family friend, and Allister from Crossfit Glenmore showed up to support the cause. Here is a picture of the three of us all dressed to impress at the event.
The next morning I worked out at Crossfit Glenmore with Jim as my partner. Together we completed the “Nutter Team WOD” in remembrance of those who fell including Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall, 30, from the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry.
Workout: ”The Nutter Team WOD” teams of two 600m Run 50 Wall Balls 3x [30 Pull-ups (no bands, push partner over bar) and 30 Burpees] 600m 45lb Plate Run
