I’m setting my New Year’s resolution a little bit early this year in hopes that I will write in my blog more frequently than I have in the past. Since my last update, training has been going well and I have seen improvements in my skiing. At the end of August the team traveled to Argentina for a two week training camp. Days before our arrival into San Las Andes, Nequen over 10 ft of fresh snow blanketed the Chapelco mountainsides. Good thing too because by the time we left, the spring sun had melted most of the snow away. We had two races, both held on the same day. On a course that restricted passing, I lead each round to take home both victories. I’m now back at home and back to work here in Whistler bussing tables, riding bikes, and lifting weights. This Friday I will be competing in a golf tournament held by the Canadian Olympic Committee which should be entertaining, especially since I have never golfed a full round in my life and have swung a club a couple dozen times. After my work shift on Saturday, I am making the journey back to Kelowna to help promote the 14th Annual Okanagan AIDS Walk, which will be happening on Sept 19th starting in Kerry Park.
