Yesterday I won my first World Cup race. The situation of how it happened was different from races past, but a win is still a win. Although I am pumped on taking the victory, I would much rather have won by racing in the finals. This win is one that is better sweet to say the least.

With the Olympics fast approaching, it is extremely important to perform well in every race to help our chances of qualifying. Because we did not race the finals, the Olympic selection committee is saying that the result is void and will not count for Olympic qualifying. This will make the next week and a half more difficult for me because the pressure is now on to perform well.
